Black Magic and Terracotta Roses, Rust Calla Lilies, Green Button Poms, Seeded Eucalyptus

This was a slight variation to the traditional European bierdermeier using two colors of roses.  Some interesting facts about bierdermeier design (other than I can’t spell it right no matter how many times I try), the design originated in Switzerland in the late 1800′s where often designers would add orange and lemon peels for extra fragrance.

This bouquet style is for the bride who is looking for a beautifully saturated, bold, dramatic look.

Congrats Jill and Matt!

Wingardium Gloriosa

Fits right? I really love Gloriosa Lilies, really, really love them. This is my totally amateur attempt to document this fun and funky bouquet. Luckily, Junelle came and took some professional pictures, I can’t wait to see them!

redblue2

redblue1
That’s what I’m thinking about red and blue while I listen to the fireworks outside, I would feel much more patriotic if I wasn’t holding my fingers for a 3 year old to sleep through the popping!  This was really much more turquoise, red and brown but I have never taken the leap to manual mode on my husband’s camera so every red or pink picture comes out off…bummer.  This was really so much prettier in person.  I have never been a red fan but I really, really loved this one.

Red France Roses, Red Spray Roses, Red Ranunculas, Blue Hydrangea, Magnolia leaves, Seeded Eucalyptus, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus

Another double wedding weekend… come back soon and see!

And in other news, I totally jogged 1.5 miles straight, if you could see how not fit I look you would be really impressed.  Also, I’m an aunt again!  Yeah for baby Seryn!

Smooth

I love the texture of Tulips, they’re one of my favorites.  Super smooth and soft.  The Callas and Tulips played together perfectly for this little bouquet, super fresh.
