DIY Silhouette Pillows
This is a super easy afternoon project. There are easy to follow instructions for sewing your pillow cover at Teal and Lime here. After you cut your pieces and before you begin your sewing you will want to paint your silhouette and allow it to dry. If you’re not sure how to get make your silhouette, Jones Design Company has a great tutorial here. After you have it printed just put the image underneath a piece of freezer paper and trace the outline. Using scissors or a razor knife cut out your silhouette. Center your cutout on the top of your pillow cover with the waxy side down and iron it on to your fabric. It would probably be a good idea to use fabric paint but I just used what I had, craft and wall paint. Allow it to dry a little and if it doesn’t need a second coat peel the freezer paper off and you’re done. I added an initial to mine using the Courier font.
